Tooth and Claw Mountains

These mountains very suddenly rise up from the earth into jagged young peaks. The northern end of the mountain range connects into the Tall Fir plateau. From there the mountains split the center and eastern portions of the continent until they reach the southeastern Emerald Sea. The steep faces and tops of the mountains have no trees or plant life growing upon them. Only snow and cold stone grace the highest areas of these peaks. Where plants do grow only sparse grasses and sturdy shrubs cling onto the rock between the cracks. Lower down near the base of the mountains the shrubs turn into juniper bushes, then slowly those bushes merge into short spindly spruce and pine trees. At the foot of the mountains forests of mixed evergreen tree species envelope the landscape.

Green Scales

Green scales is the name give to this area of land by dragons. The land is dominated by temperate coniferous forest that spread across the rolling hills like a green carpet. In the valleys and lowlands a mixture of deciduous trees thrive. The hills covered in green look a little like the round green scales on some dragons, hence the reason they named the territory this way.

Cloud Cliffs

These cliffs separate the eastern hills and forest from the Wide Blue Ocean. The rock of the cliff is primarily made up of marble which weathers quite quickly with the wind and waves constantly bashing on it. Somehow the rocks erode in a rounded fashion that causes them to look like white clouds sticking out of the earth. These cliffs make for great places to build nests since the cliffs don't fall apart all at once, and the stone itself is very strong. The stone erodes away slowly on the outside allowing for plenty of time to remodel a nest inside of a crevice or tunnel.
